Ceramic Gaskets

  • Alumina (Al2O3).
  • Silicon Carbide (SiC).
  • Zirconia (ZrO2).

Graphite Gaskets

  • Pure graphite.
  • Graphite with metal or PTFE reinforcement.

When selecting a pump gasket set material, consider factors such as:

  • Fluid properties (corrosiveness, temperature, pressure).
  • Operating conditions (speed, load, vibration).
  • Compatibility with pump components.
  • Maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Cost and availability.
  • Industry standards and regulations.

PUMP GASKET SET

Pump gasket sets are used to seal the joints between pump components, preventing fluid leakage. Here are some common materials of construction (MOC) for pump gasket sets:

Rubber Gaskets:

  • Nitrile (NBR).
  • Viton (FKM).
  • EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer).
  • Silicone (VMQ).

Non-Asbestos Gaskets:

  • Aramid Fiber reinforced.
  • Graphite reinforced.
  • PTFE (Teflon) reinforced.

Metallic Gaskets:

  • Stainless Steel (SS).
  • Carbon Steel (CS).
  • Copper (Cu).

Semi-Metallic Gaskets:

  • Stainless Steel (SS) with graphite or PTFE filler.
  • Carbon Steel (CS) with graphite or PTFE filler

PTFE (Teflon) Gaskets:

  • Virgin PTFE.
  • Filled PTFE (e.g., with glass, carbon, or graphite).
